While replacing the oil pan on my 2004 Mustang I noticed that the driver side spring is cracked! The car is my daily driver and I really don't want to have to buy one spring. I called and left a message with Eibach over the weekend explaining how displeased I was and plan to call them first thing tomorrow morning. What do you think the chances are they will ship me on one the house I need it ASAP? Has anyone else had a problem like this? The part # on the spring is 3510.201 and that is part of the Eibach Pro Kit which was on the car when I bought it 20,000 miles ago.

I guess that would depend on how long you have owned the springs. When I installed my FRPP springs one of the stock front springs were broken I never noticed it until then.

Eibach has a million mile warranty on all their springs...give them another call on Monday when they're open and they should get you squared away....they're not too bad to deal with

My stock springs were cracked and broken in multiple places after 130,000 miles. If Eibach wants to keep their customers happy, they should send you a new one without much hassle.

They will replace it, but you have to send them your old one first. They have to "examine" and go from there. A friend had something similar happen. They told him over the phone it was just a crack in the coating and it was nothing to worry about. He insisted it was a crack, and they had him mail it in. After they examined it, they sent him a new spring with no other information. It took about 2 1/2 weeks for him to get the new spring. I guess it could have been faster if he paid for faster shipping to and from Eibach.

Both my brother & I snapped both our front Eibach springs right at the bend in the lower pearch, we live in Maine with big potholes so Im sure thats what did them in. I remember those spring being so stiff people would joke that I should wear a kidney belt. Ive been running H&R SS springs for the past 4yrs or so and they've been great...they are on the soft side. My next set will be H&R Racing springs.
Alright guys so since Eibach was kind enough to ship me a whole replacement pro kit I think it might not be a horrible time to start looking at new struts. Any suggestions for a good combo to go with my lowering springs. The car has roughly 90k on the odometer and I am assuming they are the stock struts although I may be wrong I will have to double check. Its a daily driven car but I like playing in the 'twisties"

I had the Tokico HP Blue, non-adjustable ones. Fairly inexpensive and with the Pro-Kit springs I also had, it handled great. Look into some CC plates though as well, at least to mount the strut in a higher position to avoid bottoming it out.
MM CC plates, tokico blues/eibach shocks/ bilsteins (you can't go wrong with any of them- your stock shocks are almost guaranteed to be completely worn)..... I would also recommend a steeda bumpsteer kit - you don't know how bad the bumpsteer is in our lowered cars until it is gone.
