Electric fan / aluminum radiator question?

I just ordered a Griffin 31x19 aluminum radiator and was wondering what a good electric fan to use would be that would clear a blower crank pulley. I was thinking about getting the ramchargers dual fan or the black magic. What do you think would be the best. I currently have a 16 inch permacool electric fan (2950cfm) but it does not seem to put out what they say it will.

Get a used sn95 fan or a lincoln mark 8 fan, best fans for the money IMO. I paid $43 for my used sn95 fan. It will flow way more than a junk proform or black tragic.

Just some info on the BM fan. it may have a high CFM rating, but it doesn't cover enough of the fins which is what you want. I run the new dual 12" Ram Chargers setup which has a slightly less CFM rating than the BM, but it covers nearly 95% of the fins and cools far better than the BM, plus it's $80 cheaper than the BM.

Keeps my motor plenty cool (180*) on just the low setting in 85* ambient temps at an idle for 20 minutes.

I just ordered the Ramchargers fan. It seems most people had the best results with the Ramchargers or the Spal dual fan but the Ramchargers fan is $120 less than the Spal so that pretty much sealed the deal. I like the Lincoln Mark 8 but it doesn't give me enough clearance if I decide to go with a 10 rib blower pulley.

Did you get the one with the complete plug in wiring harness?, If so, the harness you'll get is much better than the one they show on their site. They upgraded it in a few area's. Very simple install. took me 1 hr tops. :nice:

If you want to use the Black Magic, buy a Proform fan instead. Its the exact same fan, the ad is basically the same too. But the Proform is $125. I am about to buy one here in a week or so. Hope this helps a little:shrug:

I am disappointed in my proform performance , go lincoln fan or sn9d5
