If you have a 3G or better alternator, the electric fan only uses 1/2 HP worth of electricity, a lot less than an engine driven fan.

The reason it made such a difference, my fan clutch was fried, when my engine was at 6000 RPM, so was the fan! Sounded like a freakin B-17 bomber running under the hood! My stock fan was cracked also, so good riddance to the lot. It's amazing how different it feels, I can't decide how much is real and how much is perceived because all the noise is gone. It revs SO much faster, and feels like it is pulling stronger. Now I'm popping redline all the time, where before I would short-shift it at 4000 or so.

The 3g alt is from a 94+ mustang. It is also from some other cars like a cougar and a thunderbird. Do some research because some are easier to install than others. I got mine from a junkyard for $20. The wiring kit with directions can be bought complete at www.pa-performance.com .
