electric fan

Anyone know how good an electric fan is over a clutch fan.
My clutch fan is siezed up, and have the option of finding a free electric one. Just wondering on the increase i should get.

the only way to answer that is to know what kind of fan it is, what it came out of, etc. a fan for a Metro will be insufficient, whereas something from a Big 6 or 8 should work. can your alternator support it?

gotcha. some fans will outrun a 3G and since we did not know what fan you were talking about, it mattered.

that is a great fan for a mild stang - i say go for it!

if you were asking about HP free up, they say 10-20 hp at high rpms (clutch fans are not as parasitic as direct fans, so the change is not as huge). but if yours is locked up, it should be quite noticable.
