electric speedo ?

I believe the electronic speedo's actually run through the computer, so you'd have to probably change out computers. I'm not sure if the computers are interchageable or not. Even still, the stock t5 tranny uses a drive gear in the tranny and a driven gear on the cable, so not sure how the computer interfaces with the tranny on those cars, but you'd have to rig that up as well.

Why do you want to get rid of the cable?

i know that my car has an vss for the cruise and also for the computer...i can just tap off those wires and run to an electronic speedo...but idk what to put in the dash...everything ive found is too expensive. i dont like how the needle jumps at low speeds, and i have tried lubing, and a new cable. it just seems to be the design of the thing...i just want a smooth operating electric unit. but i cant afford $400-$600 for an aftermarket cluster.

im trying to decide if i want to ante up for the florida50 cluster myself just got my 347 in last week, been driving it each night for break in period, got about 13K or more in it now

have a friend that has the nordskog and he has to recalibrate it every month or so,, it is nice and looks awesome but it needs extra attention. ill post soem pics of it

not really for sure but it gets off a lil bit at a time, not too much but he is a stickler for perfection and just gets off a lil so he fixes it,, im sure if you were going to do it it would be fine but for someone that wants things perfect just get you some regular guages,,, i got a 140MPH cluster im prolly going to part with if i go florida50 style if anyone is interested!

ahh, i see...well i guess i will have to put the cable back in then to save money (thankfully i did not get rid of it yet, its still in the garage with the other 4cyl parts). i have messed with stock clusters before, and its impossible to get the needles right if you upgrade to white or luminous faces. what do you want for the cluster? i still have my 4cyl one anyway
