Electrical (fuse?) problem - Headlights and Audio

I bumped the fuse box when I was changing out clutch quadrants under the dash, and it started smoking yellow at both the fuse box and the + battery terminal. The terminal is oxidized, and neither the headlights, sidemarkers, taillights, or audio headunit work now. Do you think I blew a couple fuses somehow? and where can I find a diagram that tells me the function of each fuse? Thanks.

Alright well I took the fuse panel out to inspect the wires behind them, and found the two thick black/orange wires were severed and shorting against something, so I reconnected those, but the headlights and audio still don't work. I checked all the fuses and they're straight. What could be the problem? Is there something under the hood that could have blown? The parking lamps work with the emergency lights, but they won't come on with the headlight switch. Where do those two thick black/orange wires lead to?

It seems like fuse #4 would need to be replaced from here but it appears fine. I even put a new one in but no luck.

Can anyone explain the "fuse links" at the starter solenoid? That appears to be around where it was smoking, but I don't know anything about them.

Well there we go. The 16ga fusible link that controls the lamps and audio was completely toasted. I linked that back up and all is well now...is that alright if I just twisted it back together? Thanks guys.
