hey guys here's a link to my car's most recent trip to the shop.
http://forums.modulardepot.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=65134

Everthing seemed fine and the SES went off for about a week or two. It came back on last night, but haven't gotten the codes read yet. I just got home from getting all my detailing goodies since I called in sick today and its gorgeous out. My drivers side window will not go up. Now I can't wash my car..
The passengetr side is fine so its not a fuse (dont they both run from the same fuse?) Does anyone have any suggestions or have experienced this before? Loose wire from the driver window switch?

Any help would be appreciated...
THanks,

TJ

There have been a lot of these threads about windows getting jammed.

If your fuses are fine, take off the door panel and try the infamous "tap" on the motor to see if it will relieve itself from the sieze.

I'm sure others will have suggestions, but I would try the simplest things first.

1. Try the tap
2. Use a multimeter to see if the motor is getting power (in case the shop dropped a wire somewhere).
3. Report back to us.

I have a buddy with a 03 that had similar prob with driver's side window. His would not go down. Then a few days later, it worked just fine. He took it to the dealer.
After a couple of "Can't find anything wrong, sir" calls, they switched out the window motor. Has been fine since. Just a thought.
Good luck!

Usually, water gets into the switch when the widow is down even a hair - they are cheap and easy to replace (well they are cheap if your dealer doesn't need new sails for his yacht) I have had the driver's side and pass side go bad on me already.

the drivers side switch is very common on our cars.. but first see if your motor is getting power. try tapping the motor with the panel off and it still not working..

plus you need too test too see if you are getting power at the motor. remember polatiry reverses when the swtich is moved the opposite way.. this is how the motor goes up or down.

so the wire that has ground in the down pos. should be the power wire in the up pos.
