There isn't much to do for performance. But for reliability i want to add an electronic ignition so it won't take as much to fire her up in the winter. Do they make Electronic ignitions for A 6 cyl. I just need the ignition box that sits in the distributor. Possible?

All right thanks, hey one more question, i am thinking about rack and pinion from TCP or somewhere. I really only wany power steering but the R&P kit seems to be the best way to go, would one of these kits clear 2.5 hookers on an I6 or do you know?

another alternative is to get a duraspark distributor (and the duraspark box) from one of the newer 200s at scrapyard. as for the steering rack, to get a general idea you can run a broomstick from both mounting locations (keeping in mind the rack is thicker than a broomstick)

Not bad, i heard about the duraspark distributor but i think the one already on the engine works fine, unless of course this would help the upgrade to electronic ignition. I found the kit from pertronix, it is apparently a 10 minute job that proves very easy. Can't wait to hop back under the hood to do something constructive to kill time waiting for a rebuild.

I'm not so sure you can get duraspark for a 200. Duraspark didn't start til 75, did anything use the 200 in 75?

They used the 200 (or 3.3 Litre inline) up through the 80's...

check out www.fordsix.com they have info on the duraspark swap there as well as a couple performance ideas!
