The Navy has found some benefits on battleships and destroyers, but these installations are nothing like what you can buy for your car. If these were really effective, every expensive truck and bus in the Northeast and Canada would have one. Verdict: mostly BS. Wash the salt out of your wheelwells and underbody as soon as practical after driving on salted roads.
