What do you guys think about this? Take emission heads ( 302 ), get a peice of cold roll, tight enough it has to be pressed into the emission ports... Then take and grind the nipples out??
Not sure about all that, sounds like it would work.... But you'd need a flow bench while your porting, it would be really easy to screw up, get some good flow numbers out of it, but as most of us know flow numbers only tell a small part of the story.... It sounds fishy to me, the owner of a performance speed shop told me about this..... Though in theory it sounds like a winner..... You can actually find some good power out of stock castings, so in my case right now I'll be dropping some cash into stock heads.... I'll be switching from a 302 to a 351 down the road, and buying a set of atermarket heads for the 302 would be tossing money out the window... Doubt I will go as far on the stockers as to do what I mentioned, since it would take some flow bench time..... Just curious to see what yall think about it, this is the first time I've ever heard of doing something like this....
