Emissions experts, in here:

Setup's in my sig:
but basically:

E303 cam/non smog heads (gt40p), no egr, no provision for EGR in headers (longtubes) and no cats/smog pump:

I obviously failed, however I was not dinged for anything on the visual check (I knew I would fail, but I wanted to see how much a problem the visual would be). They basically don't care as long as the output is within norms.

So my output was this:

HC: 4.29 (allowed 0.80)
CO: 25.18 (allowed 12.00)
NOX: 2.55 (allowed 2.0)

I believe my timing's close to stock, though I do have some advanced programmed in the ECU. I've got a SCT tuner and chip burner kit, so I can change anything in the ECU as well.

My battle plan is to either borrow a catted H pipe, or weld in a pair of non-air tube converters onto mine (which would be a damn shame, as the car sounds so perfect right now).

Will cats be enough? I'm reading up on how to analyze these numbers, car was run warm, almost empty on tank. I can't rig up an EGR valve, and I know that will hurt things a bit.

the NOX failures talk about lean.overly advanced conditions, which sometimes I get that feeling from the car, but I hadn't had my wideband hooked up in some time. I'll hook it up once some cats are on, and check it out.

Any other thoughts? I just want to be able to put a plate on this car as its now illegal to have on the road (old registration just passed effective date).
