I am looking at a 24" Pace enclosed trailer. Fairly basic, no cabinets but it does have the nice outside with diamond plate and SS in the front. 10,000 gvw very clean. Its a 04 but has about 200 miles on it, been used for storage. The trailer goes for about 10k new and he said he would take 5k lowest he would go. What do you guys think about it? The price seems pretty fair to me. I have seen similar trailers for a little less but they also have a bunch of miles on them. Pictures of what you have done to your trailers would be cool also, I would be looking for ideas for storage and winches. We would use it to put my car or my g/f's car in for winter storage, going to the track etc. Think it would be really handy to have.

Well sounds like a good deal but keep shopping the economy is F#&* up right so its a buyers market. Also keep in mind if you want to do some serious racing in the future a 28' would be optimal ie.. golf cart, tool box, generator, etc. Thats what im up against right now but in the mean time I'll use my father"s 2004 Itasca motorhome... and my 16ft open trailer..

If ur willing to travel to the midwest PM me alot of people around here are hurting and I mean hurting damn I hate to be this way but I guess its the nature of the beast.

Yea I hear you. Friend of mine that races weekly at a local circle track started with a 24', worked fine for years but eventually just needed the extra room and he got a 28'. For me chances are I would be going to the track about 4 times a year, would make for great storage when its not on the road and because its a 24' we could still tuck it away somewhere. My car is only about 15' so that leaves a pretty decent amount of extra space. If I did decide to get a 28' in the future there shouldn't be any problem getting my money back for this one being a quality name brand.

I have no idea what they cost. Ask 25thMustang. Him and his Dad use an enclosed trailer.

24' is perfect. Plently of room for a Mustang and other room for tools, different wheels/tires, compressor, cooler etc...

Yes we do have a 24' enclosed, which is actually where my 89 is stored now. It works well, and probably has room for a golf cart or something if need be. My dad got it left over for $7K (roughly) and I believe it is an American Hauler (don't quote me on that). The trailer has been perfect so far!

I assume thats why you IMed me this weekend Josh? Sorry, I have been in and out of the condo lately!

Yea I was going to ask you what your dad paid or what you thought of this price. My dad stopped at CT trailer today and asked what they get for the same trailer and gave them the model number. $10,800 with the 10,000 lbs gvw. $18,000 or a bit more he said with cabinets and other stuff. He said they could do a little better then that on the price but clearly aren't going to drop that much. If by the time I put the little things in it that I want, wax it up and polish the alum there is $6,000 in the used one I would be pretty happy. Any thoughts?

Yeah I can find out what my dad paid exactly but I thought it was in the 7-7.5K range for one left over (brand new, never used).

I think a used one sounds good, but in this economy I feel like you could steal one. $5K isn't bad though if it truly is not used much. Check the tires, brakes, bulbs etc... Even if it's low usage these things might wear. Dry rotted tires would suck, bald spots could also be an issue.

Cash talks.

Yea we looked it over really well, I was neverous it would be junk because it sat so much but everything is in real good shape. he was asking $5500. The guy doesn't need the money believe me thats not why its for sale. He was offered $4800 and wouldn't take it. Told us $5k is it.

Well I bought it, its sitting at my parents house now. Put the cobra in it already. Cant wait for nice weather to start working on it. It needs to be waxed and the alum. needs polishing. Going to do something with the floor. Thinking that garage floor epoxy in black and diamond plate stripes running down the center for the tires. Outline around the wheel wells with diamond plate. Go to sears and get a bottom roll away and take the wheels off and put that in the front, and get a bench made up to sit on top of it across the front(pretty sure). A few various alum. shelf/cabinets then it will be good to go. Oh yea the chrome on the wheels of course is peeling so I will need to do something about that, possibly just blast and paint them not sure yet. Will post pictures either later tonight or tomorrow.

Sure as long as your car isn't as low as Katie's, the exhaust managed to pull up the trim. Had the trailer 24 hours and its already getting busted up. At least its a real easy fix and had to come up to do the floor anyways.

Well I already bought this one and it its barely been used. It was over $10k like this at the local trailer dealer so I feel I got a good deal. Thanks Brian.
