Guys,

have a question about short blocks. I live in So.Cal and was wondering if you had hear good things from Coast High Performance engines or should I go with a DSS short block? I am looking at a 331ci and will be running AFR 185. My current set up is stock bottom end with the heads had to notch pistons made a huge difference. Thanks for your input in advance!

I really dont think either is a bad company.

DSS is used by anderson ford...not too shaby. I am 100% happy with my DSS shortblock.

CHP was nice on the phone when I called them. Mark the owner (or maybe one of them) is on hardcore and is VERY informative and helpfull.

I simply went with DSS as I am in St. Louis and DSS is just outside of Chi-town so shipping was abit cheaper.

I would not be worried about either choice really.

you can't go wrong with either.

i went with a local builder because the son works in my office during the day and he works with his father, the builder, in the evenings and weekends. i am extremely happy with the engine they built me.
