Here are some pics i have compiled in the last few months. Im finally seeing some progress.

This one is right after i pulled the motor and tranny.

This one is after i got some wiring clean up a little.

These are right after i cut the panels out. (it was going to be much easier and nicer to put full panels back in instead of patching up the old.

Next is the pieces welded in after we took our time and bent them on a brake and cut and trimmed them in to place. (actually the triangle and retanglular pieces sticking out were supposed to be just one piece. I screwed up and didn't give enough room for the tires to turn on the other side) There is still masking tape on a lot of things that needs to be pulled off.

After a little bit of grinding, sanding, filler, etc. (should have gotten some pics during this) Everything was painted. The pictures aren't very good at all. Too much glare and dust.

The rest are just pics with the new upr chromoly k-member kit. I dropped off the swaybar and brackets, steering rack, and the rest of the brake and control arm assymbly to be sandblasted. Im not sure if im going to have everything powdercoated or just painted with POR-15 like the motor?

I I plan on keeping as much wiring hidden as possible. I even plan on running all the a/c stuff into the finderwell. The new brakelines have to be ran also.

Looks good, also looks like quite the project.....taking some major weight off aren't you?....:D
I figure about 75lbs or so difference between the k-member and a-arms. (maybe more, i can pick up the new k-member and a-arms with one hand.) I couldn't come close with stock one.

The bad part is i maybe saving 75lbs, but im putting back on probably 130+ im sure. The 351 dart block is pretty heavy along with all the tubing and stuff for the twin turbos. (the intercooler itself ways over 30lbs.)

Not to mention the powerglide with the j.w. case is heavier then my t-5 was and the 9" that i will be getting is heavier then the 8.8 rear end.

If i can keep this tank under 3500 with me in it im going to be surprised.

looking good. 351? I thought it was you that was going with a TT 460 or something crazy like that
Its a 427 stroker. But its a 351w dart block.

I talked to a guy that runs a big block and he hates it. Its too heavy and he can't get the weight transfer he wants. He recently sold it and went with a small block also.

oh ok I knew it was bigger then Mike's 418 cause I had the idea of a TT 418 and saw you were planing something bigger and got pissed LOL. Not like I could afford it anyway.

Wow, looks really good man! Keep this thread updated w/ pics as you go.
How soon do you plan on having everything done?
I really want to do something similar to this to my car one of these days.
Probably over the course of the winter or something, cause I dont think I could go all summer w/out racing my car atleast a few times.

Now that's a trade I wouldn't mind making, Dart block and twin turbo's........
That is going to be a "Demon"

haha, the guy you're talking to is retarded then.
he gave up his 9 sec all day big block for a large cubed small block and has been having a lot more success. So retarded? not really.

Don't get me wrong. Big Blocks defently are a great way to make big power. But he wanted something a little lighter. He couldn't get his front wheels off the ground like he wanted too. That was his big thing about it.
