FYI : I am talking about a 96 Ford Ranger 4 cylinder
I know this is not a mustang but, since I like and trust some of you
and the fact that all codes should be the same (i would think), i am asking this question.. What does this code mean? And how do i get rid of it?
I've been getting this 1443 code for about 6 months now. I can clear the code and it will stay off for about 30miles and then come back on. If i leave the truck running for about 10 min it doesnt come on.
Here is the list of things i've done in the past few weeks to fix this issue.
New plugs and Wires ( all eight of them)
New Egr valve
New O2 Sensors (2 of them)
New fuel filter
Replaced rubber vacum lines.
Is this a code in which getting a new gas cap will resolve? Does anyone have other low cost replacements that might get rid of this code?
