Hello fellow must angers, new member here. Should have joined sooner. I have a 98 cobra convertible svt.
34000 original miles. I did some auto cross with my cobra, an engine knock developed. Dropped oil pan, found spun bearing. Changed bearing. Knock still there. The cap on the connecting rod looked burnt, and old bearing was squashed. Checked another bearing and was like new, could read writing on old bearing. After hearing knock after changing bearing pulled plug wires one at a time, knock did not go away in any cylinders. But, when # 6 wire was pulled which was cylinder bearing was changed. Engine backfired and stalled. Devastated.
Any ideas.
