ok so my setup is a JVC headunit (the one that plays dvds)
alpine type s components
rockford 551x
2 kicker comp vr 12's

i am getting alot of engine noise coming through the speakers, i have checked the ground, speaker wires, power cable, as well as the rca's.. basically i would replace one component at a time, and no matter what the noise stays.. i sent the amp back to rockford, they checked it out and said it was alright, i also tried a second jvc headunit and nothing makes a diffrence.. what in the effing heII could it be?? im completly out of ideas here guys.

It's your amp ground. You need to replace nothing. Move the amp ground to a "better" ground. Use a bolt that goes into the chassis directly. Use a dremel with wire wheel to remove all paint. Use a star washer. Your noise will go away.
