engine oil dipstick replacement?

Im tired of messing with my stupid twisted dipstick rod. Its a PITA and its not that great as far as reading the gauge also. Is there a better alternative dipstick, like maybe a cobra dipstick if they are even different? I found only one online at JEGs, made by a company called Lokar.. really nice looking, but 80 dollars??!! thats weak. so you guys know of anything? thanks!

any reason you are checking the oil often enough to make it a pita?
i check mine weekly

i bought a lokar to make my head swap easier and i like it alot, but if you really want a good stock one i still have the one i pulled off if ur interested.

well, I dont check it too terribly often, a little less than once a week I guess you could say, but I think im gonna spring for the expensive one if there isnt a cheap alternative. Oh, and thanks fasthippo but it is actually pretty new, i got a remanufactured ford engine like 5k ago. I just dont like the twisty design, its so flimsy.. oh well I guess im just picky about random stuff haha. thanks guys
