Went to set the timing a bit better today and we set it at 16* at idle with the spout out. Now when we got to rev it up with the spout in it goes to 40-42*
Isn't that a bit much...is that dangerous. The car is untuned (professionally) and will be that way for a long time...what are ya'll's thoughts on that.
Right now there is a slight mix of 87 octane with some 93 octane...
Would the idle speed (around 800rpm I believe) make the idle timing more even with the spout out?
Just curious on your thoughts...
Oh and I parked the car after about 40 minutes of driving and heard a hissing from the back of the intake after I shut the car off, it continued for about a minute and a half. I was thinking maybe one of the heater core hoses weren't tight...but there is nothing leaking from what I can tell. It appears as air escaped it got slower as the pressure subsided. Sounded like "air" more than "water"...a hissing sound? Ideas to check?
Also my headliner (not engine tech
) came loose when my windows were down...what is some good "sticky" stuff to mat it back down?
Thanks guys!
