Whats up guys, I have an '86 GT I bought back in October. The battery it came with was almost 7 years old, so it needed to be replaced. The 86's call for a size 65 battery. And for whatever reason the lrevious one was bigger (I forget what size) Anyways, I put the new battery in, and the car ran fine for about a minute, then died. And its been doing this ever since (at least 6 months) i replaced a lot of ignition parts (main switch, coil, wires/plugs, cap/rotor). I also just upgraded the alternator this past week. And after doing that, it takes longer to start up. I used my truck to jump it, and it ran fine while it was hooked up to the truck. I just wanna see what if you guys have any advice on this. It definitely seems like a battery issue. Should I get a bigger size? Was the battery bad from the factory? Wanna hear what you have to say.
Thanks in advance-Trent
