ok so i have heard if you use a standard engine stand on a ford aluminum block it can damage it and that ur suppose to use a stand that holds it from the motor mounts is this myth or fact???

Who told you that? I have a Teksid sitting in my garage right now waiting for my next build and in all my searching I have never come accross that one. If the Aluminum was that weak I doubt any aluminum block would be capable of holding 300hp let alone the 600 or more that they actually do.

An actual what? Teacher? Consider that a teksid or a new style aluminum block can handle over 1000hp I seriousley doubt you could damage the block by putting it on an engine stand. Think about the forces at work when an engine is making that kind of power at 6-7000 rpms.

Also how would you actually assemble and engie that is on a stand that holds the block from the engine mounts? All of the ones that I have seen are just cradels with wheels and do not rotate.
