Engine Suggestions

Hey guys.

So my 93 GT with 176k miles is finally starting to have some problems. Stuck lifter at the moment, blah blah.

With a soft limit of $2k, what are my best options? Rebuild? Motorcraft crate engine? An aftermarket long block?

I'm a GM parts salesman, so I can get a good discount from a Ford dealer, but I'm not sold on their Motorcraft replacement engines.

Any ideas?

if you have access to the shop after hours I am sure that you can order all the parts and rebuild the engine for well under 2k.
