get all 1.72 RR not that mismatched 1.6 and 1.72. get a nice grand or grand and a half for the heads and get some 165's. Your car should go way better. Then :Track: again.

Ok here it is when to the track last night. This time on the motor with timing adjustments and fuel pressure adjustments 7.30 95mph 1/8 mile 1.46 60ft time. On NOS 6.11 109mph 1.30 60ft time. Not bad for a motor that everyone said was a piece junk.............................................

The 1/4 mile is my next step to go to,but I'm gonna take the heads and have them flowed first and have me a custom ground cam done.Then I'm going to the 1/4 mile and see what will happen.I was thinking of stroken the motor out to a 347. U think that would help the motor any with these heads.....

actually, that should help out alot. that and make all the rockers 1.72's or you could get for cheap, a set o 1.7's from crane cams (the cobra RR). but yeah, stroking it should help out. and that cam should be pretty big. but of course, like most americans say, "the bigger, the better"

If they are stock AFR 205cc, just go to their website. AFR guarantees that their heads flow within +/- 2% of advertised. I have not seen a claim like that from another company, but who knows.

I am not saying flow is the most important factor, because it is not. It is a factor though...

A custom camshaft will do you wonders. Keep up the progress on it.

what block are you using? stock block stroked an bored to fit 347 an takin it to almost 8000rpm an sprayin a 200 shot is gonna grenade. those heads are best for high rpm so i would say stay at the 306 with those heads an shift the same rpm. seems like its workin pretty good. or you could change compression to have more hp off the bottle an spray little less of a shot an your motor would last longer. JMO

I should have my cam back soon. I don t know if its a stock block or not I bought this engine already set up this way....Right now I'm running 24lb injectors but I have a set of 30lb injectors to go in it...Should I put them in it stead of the 24lbs?

go with the 30 lb, make sure u have the right mass air sensor calibrated to it and 4.10's is fine.

wrong..... putting the rockers like that give it mo powa!!! for real thats what alot of racers do to get the most out of a combo....

you need to go to a shop that has a tuning computer. they have DiabloSport MAF calibrators. just find a shop that has the computer so they can tune it. Usually dyno shops have them. Just look around for shops and make a few phone calls for pricing.

No offense MikeROD but do you have ANY Mustang Drag Racing experience.

I keep seeing you say run all 1.72 rockers, but have you done the math to figure out if that is what the combo needs? Theres a LOT more to deciding on the right set up then just what you read online. Usually when one is running 1.6s on the intake and 1.7s on the exhaust they do so for a reason. I know a lot of racers running staggered rockers, just because it doesn't sound right to you, doesn't mean it isn't.

Also how do we know 4.10s are the right gear for it? Theres a LOT of variables there I haven't seen in this thread yet. What RPM do you need to turn, what size tires, what weight, what mph? Theres a big difference between a street driven 14 second Mustang. and a nitroused HCI more track oriented motor. Giving the same advice for both is going to cause issues.

Thats fine but what happens if he changes the rockers and bends his pushrods or worse? I know you want to help a fellow Mustang guy out and that's cool, but some people take internet advice as set in stone, and unless the person giving the advice has run that combo or knows for sure, it could end bad for the person asking.

i mean it makes sense that you'll have a bigger rocker in the intake valve bcuz it opens more than exhaust, but i was always taught to make it even. I'm sorry for that info hrdroc.
