I've been wishing and planning my future projects for a long time now. Everything has gone according to plan so far. The next project is the swap of the C4 to the 5speed. I just happened to be at a car show and purchased the 2004 Ford Racing catalog. Paging thru it I get really excited seeing the engine section. Although this is still a project off in the far future, I can't help but wonder what choices to make. Then I turn the page and see it..... NOW I'M IN TROUBLE. They offer a full replacement 4.6 Cobra engine AND 5speed transmission combo for less than six grand. I'm so drooling. I was figuring $2500 to do my tranny swap. And then around five to six grand for the engine job. I could save ALOT of cash by purchasing this package. Yes, it may only be rated at 320 HP, but we all know how these things can be tweaked. And the only difference between the new 03' monster Cobras and this one is the supercharger.
So besides opinions.... I'd really like to get some links on articles of this swap. I know they have to be out there... I need to know what is all involved. I'm sure some obvious things like motor mounts will need to be addressed.
