Engine Trouble

Hey guys -

Yesterday I swapped out my old thermostat, replaced the fuel filter and replaced the positive battery cable. Sprayed down the carb with cleaner. I’m now having this clicking noise when attempting to turn over. Any ideas?

I just charged the battery yesterday - but maybe I’ll try swapping it out completely...

What type of clicking noise ,if you are not getting a good battery connection it is probably the starter solenoid . Check both cables . Did you drop anything in the intake while the carburator was off ?

Make sure you can turn the engine over with the fan by hand. If you can you have a low voltage problem either from a low battery or a bad connection. Check battery voltage and if it's good clean all your cable connections at the battery, the solinoid and the starter, and don't forget the grounds.
