Build Thread Enola- Finishing touches

I'm talking about the red car with the fake mini gun Jeeves...

It's ALWAYS mustang goobers like this guy that being a "Ford guy" meant you were part of a freak show...
No detail in the engine compartment, turnbuckle strut tower braces, dirty, scroungy looking accessories, a " what the hell was he thinking" exploded rattle can treatment on the valve covers and radiator....

And that wanna be mini gun barrel shooting straight into the radiator....

Some guys are meant to just leave their sht alone..
Considering he has all thread with turn buckles for tower supports and the Mad Max style engine bay I'm pretty sure he doesn't care if other people think his car is "pretty" or not. BTW, have you won any best pumpkin awards with your car? People and opinions, gotta love'em.

Anything over 12 psi and 20* should get you about 425hp/450tq at the wheel IMO
Maybe it's the 3.08 gears that make it much less violent. It will still hopelessly spin the 275 nitto 555 tires in first gear and most of second but i had to ditch the 3.73 gears as it made cruising painful with the t5 i think a 3.23 gear would have suited me better

306 ci
Gt40 heads 2.02 1.6 valves full port
E303 cam (I hate this thing) pulls hard from 3k to red line
Intake is obviously non standard it's a m112 blower from a jaguar makes 10psi
Water methonal 17gph to keep temps down
Unequal shorty headers to 2.5" exhaust with cats x pipe and 40 series flows
EDIS8 ignition
W/o wmeth 20* timing
W/ wmeth 26* timing
Bar none, your Fox is favorite car right now! Great job Steve!

Thanks!! I love my car and still have some small things to work out on it but as of right now I'm enjoying it. It may not be pretty but I never did set out to get any awards with it. I do love the reaction when I pop the hood to check the fluids at the gas station.

I agree the 3.73's are a bit much with a T5 and a screw type blower. When I was planning on staying NA and got the IRS built and removed the factory 3.27 gears and had 3.73's put in. That was fun while I was NA but now it's just too much. Now I'll have to pay to go back to where I was and waste more money on it. I don't think I can fit a big enough tire out back to make up for it and it still look good :(

My new prediction based on your latest info
10 psi @ 26* I will say 400hp/430tq. Sounds like a killer street car with a broad power curve :hitit:

remind me what did yours make on the dyno???

The max I made was 380rwhp, then we pulled a couple degrees out and the final romp produced 365rwhp. I'll be installing my meth kit once I'm done with my seats and I'll be taking another trip to the dyno and might add a little more timing back in depending on my IAT's with a 10gph nozzle pre-blower (inlet). Even if I don't add timing, I'm happy where I'm at. My car is quick on the street, fun to drive, and very reliable. Couldn't be happier :)

You mean Public opinion......

You can take that "He doesn't care what people think" line with me all you'd like. I'll call bull on the next line.
This guy wouldn't have went through the trouble to build his fake radiator shredding minigun if he didn't care what people think. Every time somebody opens a hood to reveal their over the top this, unconventional that, or mega shiny the other, did it to get a rise out of anybody that happens by. The reason that all 37 fox mustangs in a row at a large mustang event have their hoods up isn't because none of them don't care what people think.

Everybody cares what people think. Excepting the occasional clueless slob,.....the rest of the world puts the right shoe on the right foot, and the left shoe on the left foot,... and would want to know if they had them on backwards, or If they sat in gum, or had something in their teeth.

Whether or not Radiator Rambo wants an opinion of what he thinks is cool, changed the minute he put that ammo can on the fender, raised his hood, and posted a pic on Facebook.

You will need at least 14gph nozzle. Pre blower.
I didn't even see a temp drop from the 10gph nozzle.

...and sociopaths. I mean... We understand well enough what you all 'think' we should care about but we just don't. :P

I think I might have introduced a high rise intake and stuck that whole rotating assembly through the hood. :D The top half of the ammo can would also stick through the hood (gotta be able to reload, right?).

Pay attention Mike. I said "I don't think he cares if people think his car is "PRETTY" or not. I'm sure he cares about people thinking if his car is cool and unique. Not everyone cares for a perfect paint jobs, SS braided hoses with AN fittings, chrome, blah, blah.

Ah success I finally saw a reduction in intake temps with 17gph flow from the wmeth system plumbed in before the blower. Temps stayed below 150* in the manifold that is about a 80* drop from before with 10gph....
I could probably go 20gph with my current setup. You have to remember that I have to cool the entire blower case down before it affects the air temps.

The new job is pretty cool I like the classroom atmosphere, i have been lucky in my 8years in the field I have seen some things and installed equipment many of my counterparts have only read about. This includes alot of legacy equipment like a Cincinnati millicron..... that's the great granddaddy of the PLC. I am serving as an assistant instructor to get my feet wet at the moment, my partner is someone I ran work for a few years ago. He has been in the trade for 28years and asks me to elaborate on subject matter he has never encountered in the field. I feel like we make an effective team when it comes to taking the class work and making it relatable in the field it's a nice feeling when one of the students realizes that all the theory they have to learn actually has a place out in the field.

Well alrighty then...
Lets just hope that nothing goes wrong somewhere in the chain of events where you aren't actually dumping that much water into your engine w/o the fire to burn it off. At 17 gallons per hour, there has got to be a literal monsoon happening inside your engine.

* what Steve's combustion chamber looks like...

One things for sure.....................The windshield washer fluid industry will definitely like you.

You've never said it yet since the conversion to my recollection........
Is it faster? Does it make more power?

You go through this whole debacle, and don't tell us whether it was worth it?.....What the hell is the matter with you?

I have barely started on my thing, and I KNOW that it'll be slower and make less power. I've already said a few times that it will cool as hell when I'm done.
You gotta keep the people informed......................Inquiring minds wanna know.

What two fields are you using on your MS for the triggering of your Water Meth? I am assuming MAP and TPS?

I wish there was a 3 field triggering system that you could apply CLT, so it doesnt enable it when the engine is still cold. I guess you could use MAP and MAT as triggers, so it only triggers when in boost and hotter intake temps. Im curious your thoughts on this...
