Hi y'all...

So I'm getting ready to start working on rusted sheet metal and doing bodywork... two things that are very foreign to me. When it comes to engine mechanical, removal, various other tasks, even electrical... it's like I'm at work, and no big deal at all. Anyways, I'm ready to jump in with both feet. Should I order replacemet rusted panels, like the floorpans and rear trunk area, before I start sandblasting and cutting out the old rusted areas so I know where the lines are? or in other words where one peice stops and another starts?

Any advice if small portions of my front subframe are rusted through?

i say media blast first, that way you know what you need. sometimes rust isnt bad enough to replace an entire panel, so you can get away with making a small patch panel instead. just remember to make sure you get to good solid metal before you weld in the new panels.
