Hi Everyone, Marcel here.

New Owner (2nd overall) of a 1993 GT hatch. 1st owner is family. I've always loved the fox and always wanted one. I had an S550 GT PP before this monster. Haven't physically received it yet but arranging to have it picked up.

Looking to meet new people learn everything I can about the Fox. Has a lot done to it. Not sure if any of y'all can tell me anything about it according to the list that was provided to me.

I hope so. Been garage kept too. Was set up for the drag strip but I've been reading that the mods list it can still be street driven. I'm not a drag strip person so will definitely be making it more street worthy.

Nice! Sounds like a race ready/approved street car! Should be a lot of fun based off that list.

With the current list of mods do any of y'all know how or what I'd have to change to make it more street worthy. It was built for drag racing or being built and forgotten not sure which one. Lol.

Never the less I'm picking it up currently so should be back home in NC this weekend.

So no receipts? There are thing on there that I have no idea what they are like:

Power module - could be a chip i.e. the car is tuned. If it’s a Jet chip I would strongly urge you to have it properly tuned as that is a mail order chip or a “canned” tune.

3010 Fuel Injection - have no idea here

110 gph fuel pump - this is right at 416 lph which is a huge pump. Just me but if the fuel system is stock I would pull this and run 190 lph or at most a 255 lph pump with your setup. Walbro makes really nice pumps. Reason Insay this is the stock system is going to have all kinds of issues moving that much fuel and being able to return enough fuel to the tank at idle.

The air filter needs a shield to block fan wash from the radiator fan or do a CAI and move it to the inner fender.

Make sure the battery is a sealed unit as you do not want a battery that is vented in the car with you.

Biggest thing would be to take pictures of everything and post them. Brakes, dampers, more engine bay pics, etc.

I've tried to Google some of the parts list my sister in law provided and can't seem to find some of those parts. There's a back story to why I can't get all the info needed from my brother in law about the car but I can't post the reason why.

I did find the receipt for the fuel pump it's a walbro M-9A406-2A 155lph from NPD. I also plan on moving the battery back to the front. But yes once I get it home I'll start taking pictures and posting them.

Im pretty good at mechanics and turning wrenches, do all my own work with my vehicles, I'm an Engineman in the US Navy so hopefully with the help from this community I can get it where I want it. Not looking for a show car or to make a million HP. This has been a dream car of mine for more than a decade so I intend to keep it forever.

You're in the right spot, these forums are the holy grail of Mustang (Fox Body specifically) info. You'll be fine, these cars aren't too hard to work on at all really. Like all cars there are certain things that are a complete pain in the dick, but most of it is pretty straight forward.

With regards to the fuel pump 110 gph is = 416 lph so I would be very careful assuming that list is what actually made it into the car. The 155 lph pump you have in it is just fine for your mods so carry on.

Thank you for your service and keep this thread going as the project evolves. You can change the title of the thread as things progress to better reflect where you are at in the process.

If you ever pull the cam it should have numbers on either or both ends which typically will identify the cam. If you do not want to pull it you can use a dial indicator on a rocker and determine lift and duration.

This on is on an inline motor but I think you can take from it what you need to figure out the duration:

Awesome thanks for that. I definitely want to know what cam it has. Can't wait to get started on this thing.

I'll bet a dollar to a donut that it's a stock cam.

Might consider ditching the Hot-Air Intake too.

Yeah there's a lot I'm going to ditch, like the Cowl hood. I have the stock one and then this one. I like the Gray one and have seen it on a lot of Mustangs.

The gray hood is nice, if you were closer I'd love to get that cowl hood from you as I have been a big fan of those.
