So my Mustang is being kept at my aunt's house in Georgia because I go to school up in New York. I'll be driving it up this summer. The other day her boyfriend, who occasionally drives it so that it isn't just sitting there, was driving to work around 5AM and hit the huge bolt that you see above. I've had flat tires before, but this is a new one for me.

Oh man, I had a similar experience not too long ago, but NOWHERE near as bad as that. Mine didn't go through the rim like that. That is just insane! Suppose it's time for some new shoes!

yeah I was planning on replacing the rims soon anyway, so this just gives me a good reason to do it sooner.

Holy cow man! I have never seen one go through a wheel before!
It is fixable though and I am sure someone with a Fox 5 lug will be all over them if you put them for sale on here.

It's my aunt's boyfriend that's paying for it, so I'm not too concerned with price. Maybe I'll mention getting it fixed to him just in case hasn't already ordered a new one.

damn that really sucks. I'm glad this one only cost about 300, that's with a new tire.
