Heres the story me and my friend just got done swapping his engine from his old car to the new one he bought cause the body was mint. With the same set up he had in his old car it is turning the check engine light on and setting multiple evap codes. The canister is not in the car.The weird part it he did not have a canister in his old car with his engine or the engine we put in it when we sold it and it did not have a engine light.I also dont have mine hooked up and mine does not set a light.Any ideas on how we could correct this would be greatly appreciated.

Put a canister in and see if it fixes the problem. It does not weigh but a pound or so and helps richen up the cruse mixture. It draws no HP & keeps the car from smelling like gasoline in a closed garage. So with all these good things and no bad ones, why not hook it up & use it?
