He didn't have an SCT tuner. He could have had another type.

A bolt on 99+ GT can beat a stock LT1. No doubt about it. However, you mod that LT1 and it can easily be a different story.

lol I see that now, I was trying to think of what it was, but it was a while ago...

Yeah SCT doesn't make a product for the LT1 F-Body, but they do for the LS1 F-Body

i would say it would be a fairly equal race. but those 6spd lt1s can turn high 13s in stock form. I have seen it done. now if it were an automatic i would say your going to crush him. he will trap probably around 101

Dont underestimate LT-1's.

My buddy has a near stock 95 Z/28 auto and it is stout.

We raced and he got me off the line. His car launches great, mine not so great.

From a roll I pulled on him slowly.

For a 6 speed car its a drivers race.

I had a 03 GT with 4.10s, exhaust, shifter, sct tuner and upper intake and I raced one of my coworkers and he had a 95 lt1 firebird and I blew his doors off. And even after we raced he called me on the phone and said that I just handed his ass to him. So I think you will definatly be able to beat him in a stock PI car.

That is a quite a few mods considering these cars are a drivers race imo stock to stock, also if he was an auto with those 2.73 gears it would be no contest, but hey run what you brung good kill.

That is the case with my brothers automatic camaro, crappy 2.73s out back though the car still 60's me at the track due to more torque
