I've had I believe three bomb threats at my old high school (all were fake pranks) and one suicide. Real nice place.

Maybe it was all Norm "Firecracker" Westwell's doing......part of his campaign strategy!

We had 1 "bomb scare" when I was in Jr HS, and three lockers and two toilets blown up in three other incidents........

I was locked in the base library for about an hour a while back because someone reported a bomb in the parking lot. I don't think it turned out to be anything though.

depends on what you call a bomb scare. I have been scared around bombs a couple dozen times.

most memorably when I was standing next to a forklift loaded with a couple pallets of 500 lb bombs on a fully loaded munitions pad and the airman driving the forklift ran into a power pole knocking it down.

all the called in bomb threats I have been in the middle of were handled like a fire drill.

yep, went to work one night, and found three cop cars outside, and the girl behind the desk white as a ghost. i was getting my things ready for work and she asks me if i was afraid of being there. i asked why, she said that there was a bomb threat called in. i said well one of three things is going to happen;
1: there is a bomb, and the dogs will find it, and it will be removed. problem solved.
2: there is a bomb and it goes off, whether it is found or not, and there is nothing i can do about it.
3: there is no bomb, and hte guy that called it in is over at the waffle house laughing his a@$ off having a gay old time. again problem solved.

turned out it was #3, and the guy really wasnt too far away(not across the street though).

We had someone put a pipe bomb in one of the bathrooms when I was in high school. They caught him pretty easily because he was bragging about it as we were being evacuated.

For the most part bombs don't bother me anymore. It's the torpedoes I worry about.

Sometimes you really worry me that you can take just about anything and give a homosexual twist.

They always did that at my HS. Every time someone called in a bomb thread they'd set off the fire alarm noise and tromp us all out to the football field. I wasn't the only person who remarked that if anyone ever did want to blow us all up all they'd have to do was bury some remote control mines or something under the football field over the weekend then call in a bomb threat for a locker.

We had a couple in my dorm freshman year of college. They were pranks. Got hung up in traffic in Hampton, VA because of pipe bomb incidents, turns out there was a state trooper that wanted attention so he would build pipe bombs, plant them in buildings, then be a hero by finding and diffusing them.

Also, Sept. 11 2001 I was stuck in traffic on I495 west of DC about the time a little plane hit the side of the Pentagon. I figure it flew just over my head. Does that count?

I think that's a little more than a scare

I see live ordnance all the time so bombs don't scare me much. On the other hand, we used to get bomb threats at the local high schools. I didn't go to public school in high school but I happened to be up at one of them one day for something or other when someone called in a bomb threat. Just a prank of course. The worst I think ever happened was someone riffed up fake bombs and placed them around all of the high schools and called it in. Put a few firecrackers in each one just to make it interesting. I don't think they ever caught the guy who did it.
