I put a new TO bearing in the car 28k miles ago and now it's starting to whine. Is there a better part that I can use? I can't be replacing that sucker every 30k miles! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Did you make sure that after you attached the clutch cable, that the TOB wasn't touching the pressure plate fingers. If it has been touching all this time, it makes sense that it wore out. Just thought you should check that out first.

Hey, I had an interesting problem with my first car. I had a Laser Red 94 GT that I am so sorry I ever got rid off (whoops, I was to have surpressed my anger awhile ago) Anyway, with 10,000 miles on it, it made a squeaking noise as I would drive it. If I applied just the slightest amount of pressure on the clutch pedal, it went away. So I take it to Ford and they replace the throw out bearing. 3K miles later, same thing. I go back, they replace the throw out bearing. Well, 3K miles again, same !@#$'ing squeak! I take it back, and this time, they tell me there is a "note" on this problem and the pressure plates of "some" 94's had a bent finger causing premature wear on the throwout bearing. They replaced the plate and bearing and all was well through 132K when I retardedly got rid of my show-room looking 94GT (whoops, there I go again!)
