I need to stay out of these threads. I've had my stock AOD for just over 4 months now and needless to say I wish it had a little more power. I already have plans for a shift kit and 3.55/3.73 gear down the line. Like you said, I don't want to touch the engine since I've gone that route (with no complaints I might add. lol). I've considered nitrous but that was before I could out-right afford a supercharger.
I wonder how the stock aod tranny would hold up though. I would love to slap a small KB blower (along with the other mods mentioned) on this thing.Do KB blowers have that whine though? Not exactly stealthy. lol It's cool and all but I know I'd get tired of it real fast.
Even if you could run 143 PSI with any fuel pump you can buy (which you cant) I cringe at the thought of 143 PSI running through your stock fuel lines, fuel rail and injectors. To me it is asking to blow the car up, literally. With the 30#ers he can ditch that FMU altogether which results in better daily drivablity, better gas mileage, and a very reasonable maximum fuel pressure of 49-50 PSI. Upgrading injectors is recommended even if you are running 6 PSI, but not necessary.
