Wish I had a Cobra (98-04 vintage is all good to me) or Mach 1. I do like the S197's but only if they have a certain look to them. To me they MUST have Bullitt wheels to look good for instance and rarely do they look great in stock form, but thats just me.

I also wish I had bought a Sonic blue or Mystichrome 03-04 Cobra. Also would like a 86-93 notch with a 460 stroked with a turbo. I can find hatchs for about nothing around here, but you cant find many notchs even for sell.

I agree. I like the 05-06 darker colored bullitt wheels. Ford went with the lighter silver shade in 07 and that ruined the look for me.

Never liked any of their 18" wheels. All they had to do was make the bullitt wheel in an 18" or 19" version and they would have had an awesome wheel. Their other wheels look too "ford" like you would expect to see them on a Fusion or F150

like every other person here, i dream of Termis and Machs and such however, I know those are way outta my reach at the moment, so i consider them only dreams.

the only mustang i really wish I would've known about before, or would have bought, is an 01 bullitt it comes with all the aesthetic mods Im wanting to add now

never even thought of owning an S197 can't picture myself in it, it's too comfy lol it always seems kinda delicate, i'd be worried about driving it instead of driving it like a Mustang

4 valve cylinder heads is all I lust for. Other than that, I'm 100% satisfied with my car.

Well, relatively satisfied. I'll never turn down an opportunity at making more power.

I just plain don't like the looks of regular S197 GT's. If I had to have one of them, it would be a Shelby or Roush or something. And those are more money than they're worth.

Sorry...I forgot that you had to be a member of Mach1registry.com to see that thread...

Here ya go...The car is pretty sweet. the guy put alot of work into this thing using a V6 vert & a wrecked Mach. He did all the work himself too, even the paint...

Actually, my dream car in HS was a 1998 Chrome Yellow Cobra convertible.

I should have looked around a bit harder for one when it was time to buy a new car. That could have been one sweet ride. Toss some 18" Chrome Saleens on it, lower it a tad and do an exhaust and convertible styling bar and the panties would have been coming off all over

I used to own 2 Mustangs, but right now I am down to only one because I totalled my 2002 V6 Mustang back in Feb. 2008. I still got my 2001 Mustang GT that has less than 6,000 original limes on it. I also just bought a brand new 2008 Dodge Charger R/T Road & Track.
I LOVE both of my muscles cars.

thats me too

my 68 GT is history

totally totalled in a wreck, when I lived in KY

I woman slammed into me from the rear

both rear quarter panels had "accordian" fold / wrinkles

bent the whole rear of the car down / then back up again

sheered the engine off the motor mounts and buckled the transmission ....

I'm "in between" Mustangs right now

What is it about convertibles and panties coming off? ;-)

98 Cobra Vert sure would be one sweet ride though.

Yeah I wish i did not buy my 97 GT, I would really like to have a 2004 Mach1 Azure Blue and keep the car forever once I get it. When i bought my 97 the dealer said it was on the lot for 3 months and no one ever looked at it even though it was a front line car. I watched it on craigslist and the dealer reduced the price from 7999 to 6999 and then I called them and worked them to a total to 5800 out the door. But I had no clue that it had a 2000GT motor. The car had vynils on the paint that say Infinion raceway so i am guessing it was a track car. had the intake manifold crack and replced it and thats when I found out it had a new motor. I was really upset. I wanted a original car that would be a collectible car in the future. I am interested in selling it after I put a new Clutch and new set of rear tires on. But before I do I have to get a better paying job To make payments on a newer used Mustang. The alignment was out and I put the front bald tires in the back. But anyways my 97 is alright. sounds awesome but I wish i had a newer 04 or 05 mustang GT. I love all mustangs and all Fords.

I've been kicking myself in my ass for years when I passed up the chance to purchase a cobra.
