Everyone Leaving?

I love my Mustang and with help from all the Mustang tuners here in Seattle,I had a sweet running hot car. But when the gate of hell open last Friday,I have to give it up. 10 years I drive that car and enjoy every minutes of it.
BTW The car had been sold,I was told the engine and blower will be going into a Saleen.

well, chalk another one up for leaving out little group here... jeeze, it's becomming smaller every freaking day! (btw, I'm talking about Steve here... sold his stang, and bought a Sante Fe CAR!)

-oh well, I guess there's just not as much interest in gas-guzeling muscle cars as there used to be

Santa Fe's not a car... its a SUV! he crossed over into suburbia!

Hey now!! lets leave me out of this thread I am a Mustang Lover I really wish I could've afforded both I will soon again own a Mustang and be back I promise!! Sometimes life just throws you different obstacles and this was a decision to help me out and better my situation, if this makes me a non true mustang lover than so be it.....it is what it is..... :nice:

I just think overall alot of people need a break every now and then from doing the things they even love to do or have. Especially when it comes to something like cars, you always will be able to have and work on cars. Just because you sold your mustang now, doesn't mean you can't buy a mustang later. I was thinking about buying Eddie Bauer Expedition for awhile just for something different, but I'd give up alot of what I enjoy. But I think sometimes we want to focus our time elsewhere. That's why I've been MIA for several months. If you wanted to know further about this, you can PM and I'll tell you guys more.

oh, btw Curt... we won't always have cars to work on and drive... the oil will be gone soon, and the ******* oil companies won't allow us to goto Hydrogen Fuel Cells (even though BMW made a 400RWHP 186mph land tested *normal looking!* car...)

-personally, I'm all for that... a little more money up front, but no *once-a-week $25 gas station trips* rather a once-every-two-years refil :)

-oh well, let's not make this a political debate now, over oil :rlaugh: sorry guys :D

I have noticed a similar trend on a local email list I follow NW_SVT. It is a small group of track junkies (predominately) that all at one time owned mustangs (some were svt's). Much of the group has moved onto other types of cars for all kinds of reasons (one of them being other cars are much easier to drive fast on a road course without extensive mods), some went racing, some moved onto to better handling hardware, some moved onto more practical vehicles.

Rather than jump ship I decided to keep my mustang as a toy and bought a daily driver, it was a good move. I still lust for better hardward (I would love a Z06 corvette) but I enjoy the mustang, I love that it is unique (at least underneath the skin) and it has hard earned money and time devoted to it.

I found this list in part too find another outlet with people interested in mustangs and performance cars.

I think everybody gets tired of their car once in a while! I do all of the time. Sure I contemplate selling it, but then I sit back and look at all of the fun I have had with it, headaches and countless dollars invested, and it would be real hard to replace it and or even start over on a new project.

i think it's a good idea to change a major thing or two every once in awhile... that way you always have a new car feeling!

LIKE ME!

buahahah... my car is nothing like when it was stock... cept for the roof... it still goes down on it's own haha
