Exhaust/Emissions Question in NY

Hey Everyone..newbie here. Just bought a 2004 GT (brand new, left over) and want to put Magnaflow X pipe with Cats with Magnaflow Cat-Back. I know the cat back will not effect emissions testing but I am concerned about the X pipe. Will the car fail in a year when its inspection time?

I live on Long Island/Nassau County. Anyone with experience in my area? All my previous cars have had all stock exhausts so I have no idea what I can get away with.

If it doesn't trip a light, it'll be OK. '96 and up now only get the plug in test. No tailpipe.
