I brought my mustang and my new mac off/r h pipe in to my local exhaust shop. it was a BOLT IN kit.
i got my car back, everything seems fine.
so I jack the car up for an oil change today and the section right after the "H" was cut off then welded into the cat back.
I need to pull my trans in a few days..
I expected no issues and notified the shop owner that i will be doing trans work soon so it needs to be able to be simply bolted off and on.
is it possible to drop a trans with a welded together mid pipe and cat back?
the headers to mid-pipe still has bolted manifolds.
I don't know weather to be grateful or pissed off.

I dont think it will drop out, can you get it all off the hangers and slide it back to gain clearance.

I had to work on a transmount right after another shop had welded the h pipe to the long tube headers....fun, fun, fun

I had the same MAC H-pipe and it supposed to be completely bolt-on. Mine was bolted on, not welded. If I were you, I'd be pissed.....

why did they do that? your new o/r H pipe should have came with new bolts. i temp did my mid pipe till i got my catback and used the newly supplied bolts to hold the midpipe in

I would :nutkick: the guy at the shop and make him redue the whole system for free.
