Exhaust install

It's a packing oil the put on the exhaust parts from the factory to prevent them from rusting while they're sitting around in the warehouse or when they're being shipped. When I put on a brand new X-pipe and cat-back setup on my notch a few years ago, I drove the thing about a block away and was horrified by the sight of all this crazy smoke rolling out from underneath my car - looked like something had caught on fire. I couldn't actually find any one particular thing burning by sticking my head under the car at a stoplight, so I hauled butt back home. By the time I got back, the smoke was just about gone. However, one of those stick-on labels left on the exhaust from the factory was starting to turn black like it was burning/melting and making a funky smell. Peeled that off and it was all good after that. :nice:
