Exhaust issues

I have a 2000 GT with a BBK o/r x pipe and a dynomax catback. Today I was driving and I stepped on the gas and the x-pipe ball and flange pulled off the x pipe where it connects to the catback. This has also happened to my friends cobra with the same x-pipe. Should I buy a new x-pipe, Or just cut the old ball and flange off and have the x-pipe welded straight to the catback. What x or h pipe do you recommend for a deep smooth sound.

Now that the BBK is history you have the perfect excuse to go with a Dr. Gas x-pipe.

I agree 100%. No problems with the install, never got a check engine light (knock on wood), and the sound at WOT is pure heaven!
