I was changing my clutch and in my rush to finish the job i accidentally cross threaded the ball and socket side of the exhaust manifold re-attaching my x-pipe. Is it possible to replace the stud? What is the best way to remove the stud if it is possible, prefer to do it while still on the motor, if I can.

Thanks

I was able to remove my driver side studs using the NAPA Stud Extractor when I was swapping them out for ones without a collar - had no problems. But when I stripped my passenger side stud one day when swapping out my midpipe, I could not get it off. Just depends on how hard its stuck in there. Could work, could not. I ended up dropping the K-Member with the help of a friend and swapping in another exhaust manifold he had laying around.

This is the Stud Extractor I used - LINK
