I called Dallas Mustang today to talk about instalation of lt's on my 96. They said that I was crazy and It is about 99% impossible to do lt's without taking them to the shop and having them professionally bent. Is this true and if so can I get an off road x-pipe for stock manifolds? any suggestions?

He means manifolds. Yes, you can get a mid-pipe that mates up to your stock manifolds. Don't know the details of what Dallas Mustang told you, but thousands of LT owners can't be wrong. A good shadetree mechanic can do this at home. There is a thread on the front page right now where a 17 year old is doing this by himself at home.

I dealt with Dallas Mustang in the past and they are morons. They can never seem to get any of my orders right or even send the right part. Putting LT is not impossible it just takes a lot time and patience. Can be done on jackstands in your driveway. To be honest with thou you might want to wait until you do the headswap to put in the LT. The job will be a little easier plus you will see better benefits of LT with the PI heads compared to the NPI.
