I had bought a 97 gt from a friend of mine, and he had lowered the car. I have a MAC cat back, which I noticed is now rubbing on the rear end supports, causing the metal to wear out. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this, and if I could just cut off the pipe after the muffler, and what consequences that would have. Thank you!

If you cut the pipe of after the muffler then you get the turn down or "dump" style exhaust. Nothing wrong with it, that's what I had for a long time. Just puts more fumes into the cabin of the car. Check the exhaust hangers and make sure they are not worn or damage.
