S.F. Cal,
 Stangsters just spent 1,600 on a rebuilt 5spd!!!
Now my exhaust is rattling, vibrating!!!
Turnsout to be an old set aof flowmasters from a chevy with the inlets and outlets in line!!
Problem is the rubber part of the stock hangar is stretched ready to snap and pulling the mufflers each side to the frame!!
Thats whats causing the vibration!!!!
Giess over 10 yrs ago guy put these flowmasters on went from 2@1/4 to 2@1/2 inch back to the tail pipe L.X. stright stock chromes
Guess i could just bite the bullet and spend $200 for new flowmasters .
I just spent through $1600 on rebuilt t-5 so im not to happy to dumpp more $$$$$$ at this time
Question maybe i can find longer hanger brackets for the mufflers and the body to line up better so Rubber part of the hangers not pulling it to the frame causing th e vibration!!!!
218,000 miles ,$1600 rebuilt t-5
maybe $200 new mufflers whats next failed smog? blown engine?
Thinking newer lower mileage Mustang might be more cost worthy any ideas bout exhaust ect????

I have an odd buzzing rattle that occurs just off idle. It will quit if you push hard on the exhaust pipe. I believe one or more of the baffles inside the muffler may have broken loose the spot welds that hold it in place. You may have the same problem.
