I have a 94 gt mustang with bbk headers and a bbk x-pipe w/ cats for emissions but i want the car to be louder. Can i run straight pipe after the cats or just run one side muffler and one side straight pipe after the cats. Dont know what i need to still maintain the right amount of back pressure. The car is pushing aroung 275 RWHP with other mods.

if the mufflers are stock, get those changed out (might not want chambered, straight through will sound nicer). Otherwise, if the cats are NOT high flow, may want to get some high flow cats in there. The former will be cheaper than the ladder.

Everything is BBK with the exhaust system including the cats so they should be high flow. But after the cats the mufflers and pipes are stock. I was going to change the mufflers with flowmaster 40s but then i thought about sraight pipe after the cats or just one muffler for a louder sound. Will there be enough back pressure for torque with no mufflers?

Don't go with a muffler on one side and straight pipes on another. There will be uneven back pressure and the car will sound horrible in my honest opinion.

The bbk headers and x-pipe are a good choice, now just install a catback of your choice.

dont do chambered mufflers with an x pipe. i would do either bassani, magnaflow, or slp. dont do straight pipes, sttraight pipes are for trucks, leave that for them. also the bbk x pipe isnt the best sounding midpipe. if you can swing it go with a whole bassani, it sounds sexy as hell.

Pretty much any cat back is going to be a lot louder than stock. Try and find some sound clips of different brands to find the one you like best. I love my Mac, for the price it cant be beat IMO.

mustang94mod, you have the EXACT same setup I had on my old 95 GT. I went with single chamber borla's, and hd 'em dumped. You won't believe the sound. However, some guys like having the tailpipes, and this set up will sound great with tailpipes. Any after market muffler will sound good with your setup. Good luck!

Check out the 94/95 faqs at the top page of the forum. It will show you muffler decibles and hp gains. Just remember if you go chambered with your x pipe it will probobly drone out. Some people dont mind it.
