Don't worry, I'm not a newbi asking what exhasut to get. But the other day, I was just looking around my car, mainly checking for exhaust leaks since I added the Mac y-pipe system my self. No leaks, but I did find something that I thought was rather interesting. On the factory tube that is on the passenger side that goes from the header to the Y section (tube with the cats) there is this little rubber cylinder shaped thing connected to the pipe, it's just bolted on, no connection to the pipe, and its also not connected to the car. Anyone have any idea what this thing is for? It looks like it has absolutely no use because its just bolted on. Any ideas, please let me know.

Am not really sure yet.You said it's on the stock Y pipe but not on the aftermarket one? What year is the car? And is it possible you could get a pic of this? Just for a little more info is all..

Yeah its on the stock peice right behind the cats, passenger side. My car is a 99. As far as a pic, it'll be a while before I can get one, I'm at school, so I have to wait a couple weeks until I get done with school.

Dude, seeing that we're at the same school (i think) I got a digital camera if you want to take a picture of it. Let me know, I'm interested as to what it is also.

Yeah man, that sounds good. Just have to find some ramps to get my car up a little bit to get under there. PM and we can maybe set something up.

By the way, WSU? I think we are at the same school.
