alright i've been wandering for a while about how changing my set up would sound. i have Mac LT headers, shorty x-pipe, and super 40 flowmasters weldins with the STOCK 2 1/4" catback piping. i LOVE the sound of my exhaust. i've heard tons of mustans on you tube. not to be cocky but i think my exhaus sounds better than 90% of ones i've heard. it has an awesome growl below 4k and sounds like mark martins nascar at redline.
my question is, if i get a catback, using the same brand mufflers with 2 1/2" piping, is it going to make a large noticable difference? i don't want the tone to change but i want it louder. i am on a small budget, if you even call it that. i have $200 or less to spend after selling my super 40's. should i have a shop with a mandrel bender to make it for me or just find a used system for $200? to complicate thing further, i have roush rear bumper valances which cover the stock holes up. i love the peices and don't want to get right of them. would it look stupid to cut holes in them for the exhaust or should i have the shop make me turn downs like i have now? thansk for any input.
