Exhaust smells rich....b/c of no cats?

My exhaust gas smells like the engine is running rich, could this just be b/c of no cats?

O/R pipes tend to make the exhaust smell like that.

A rich smell is attributed to lack of cats. However, if it is as bad as mine was, you should get the car tuned before it damages oxygen sensors and screws the air/fuel mixture up even more.
