I just banged the **** out of my right tailpipe and bent it a bit. I am looking to buy some MRT chrome rolled tips. They are $125 with the hangers and clamps and 115 without them. Has anyone ever installed just the "tips" on their exhaust and which kind should i get (with clamps or without)? Here is the link http://mustangracing.mrt-direct.com/tips.php

driving down the freeway tonite from work and there was this cinder block thing that fell out of the back of this truck in front of me. I ran over it with my right front tire, and then heard it scrap the back of my car. When I got home, the front tire was cut, and the back right exhaust tip is bent slightly. Its not too bad, but If I have ANYTHING happen, it causes me to lose sleep. My wife couldnt even tell a difference but I can and thats what matters. Now it gives me an excuse to get either the tips or a whole catback system

lol im the same way, pretty sure a lot of us are very picky about our cars. I say go for a whole cat-back! Since you have the Flowmasters you may like the sound of an SLP LoudMouth, they sound pretty hawt!

I kind of thought so too at first but now I love them. The way the look depends on the angle you see them. If you could see them with with a lower rear shot that shows the back tires it looks pretty darn good.

my .02 would be get some tips off ebay. magnaflow, borla, etc. magnaflow seems priced resonably and are nice.

you really want weld on IMO.

you should be able to get tips for $40-$60 unless you want double wall. then $80-$100.

shop should ding you for about 1 hour labor if you don't have acces to a welder.

So with the right shop this is about $100. with expensive tips and the wrong shop it would be $200.

You don't need fancy namebrand tips, if you just want the tips. I got mine at Summit for like $25 each. Another $35 to get them welded on at a local muffler shop. See my cardomain thing for pics.

I have the black chrome MRT tips laying around in my house. I can sell them to you. PM me if you are interested and I will see how clean I can get them and then send you some pics of them. Don't know if you are interested in the black chrome or regular chrome.
