Ok, I have the GT appearance package on an 07, and I dont like the how small the exhaust tip are. Is it possible to get wider diameter tips, keeping the stock exhaust system. I also dont like how the mufflers are visible, do you think it would be possible to paint them black? any thoughts?

Yes, on the tips. Google search for exhaust tips. It all depends on the look you are going for. Just make sure what you get once installed is not too close to the cut outs of the bumper and obviously has the correct fit length for mounting and inside diameter/outside diameter for installation over the the stock exhaust tip. Fair warning that the weld around the stock tip is slop. Looks like something my 9 year old could do. Magnaflow, Gibson, Borla have some nice chrome tips, but then again there are many mfgs that make nice looking tips.

I agree with the muffler location. When I had my SN95s, I liked the set-back mufflers more than the S197 rear flush mounting position. Painting is an option so long as you use high temp paint.

My Flows are black and they hide real well. I like the 4" tip they have as well. I don't care much for flashy chrome/stainless...the tip is one thing, but the whole muffler body?????

You can get Ford tips from your parts counter for around $100 or ebay too! I got mine thru my salesman and he actually paid for them, atleast someone did because they installed them and I never seen a bill.

I have the ford rolled tips, but they are much too small in diameter.
